US Navy RADM Shelton served in the U.S. Navy for over forty years. During that time span, he witnessed four Kamikaze hits on his ship, the USS St. Louis (CL-49) at Leyte Gulf.
Shelton was the first night flight detachment to land on naval carriers during the Korean War.
As Commanding Officer of Naval Bases, Subic Bay, he processed 43,000 refugees from South Vietnam under Operation New Life.
GO NAVY!
After all these years, I still stand in Loving Admiration of all your accomplishments.
Love, Donna
